Practically new 1 bedroom and 1 bath Buckhead penthouse condo offers secured indoor parking, complimentary WiFi, and is within walking distance to over 20 restaurants, as well as boutiques, theaters, spas and pubs. Enjoy phenomenal city views and Key West-like sunsets from floor-to-ceiling windows or from the balcony. This condo is appointed with gleaming hardwood floors, cherry cabinets, a ceramic tile bathroom, and washer/dryer. In the fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, you will find granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The bedroom offers a comfortable queen-sized bed and ample closet space. The living area is furnished with leather sofa, European recliner, and large flat-screen TV with cable. Fluffy towels, extra blankets, and coffee supplies are provided, as are the 2 secure garage parking spaces. Buckhead is a very desirable neighborhood with easy access to the highway, downtown Atlanta, and many tourist activities. Summary: Escaping from impending hurricane named IRMA which was headed directly in our path in Hilton Head, we found this condo in Atlanta, which at the time, we didn't know was also in the path of this storm. The condo is in a high rise in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, with lots of restaurants, which we knew we would need in our quest of getting out of the storm. The condo is very nice, on the 21st floor with floor to ceiling windows and modern furnishings. Only thing missing was a dining table, the kitchen had everything you will need for cooking, in the case of eating out too much, nice to be able to cook. We loved the Atlanta Seafood Market, right across the street, best seafood anywhere. We left 2 days earlier than we planned as we were able to get back home to access any damage from the storm, so we lost 2 days which we paid for, we just wanted to go home at that point. Only problem I have to mention is that we were charged $85 for using our VISA, even though contract clearly stated in capital letters, NO CHARGE FOR USING VISA, etc., I was told that was a fee imposed by HomeAway-still trying to get an answer as to why, no one knew and we were desperate to book a room because of the evacuation. I think HomeAway should mention this fee before booking as it was in addition to the $300 security deposit, which we will get back since we left the condo in perfect condition. Otherwise, this is a really comfortable and secure condo for your visit to Atlanta, hopefully, under better circumstances than ours. By the way, all was ok with our home in Hilton Head, so it's all good!
